First Quarter 2023 Executive Director Message

March 30, 2023 | Murphy, TX

“I want to take a moment to tell you that because of your generous support lives are literally being saved and the quality of life of those we serve is improved dramatically! Proof of this can be seen from the results of the recent post-project impact assessment survey we completed in Monte Castillo 3-years after we empowered them with access to clean water for 7,000+ people. One of the most telling statistics is that prior to the community having access to reliable clean water, 84% of the people suffered from chronic waterborne illnesses, but now 3-years later, only 13% of the people deal with this issue, this means approximately 5,000 people’s lives have been forever changed as they can now begin to flow from simply surviving to truly thriving! Thank you!

However, the successful impact of our work in Monte Castillo only scratches the surface of addressing the need for clean water because there are hundreds of thousands of more communities in need of clean water in Peru alone, and VAVV will not rest until we have provided reliable, sustainable access to clean water to everyone that we possibly can. But we simply cannot do this without you and frankly, even more people just like you who give generously of your prayers, time, talent, and treasure to advance our mission to give the gift of True Water, True Life to our less fortunate brothers and sisters in need in Peru and beyond!…”
