Second Quarter 2021 Executive Director Message

June 17, 2021 | Dallas, TX

Are you ready for summer? Because it is officially less than four days way. June is one of my favorite times of the year because there are so many wonderful things to celebrate from the end of another school year to the completion of spring to the excitement for summer travels & trips. Of course, I may also be especially partial to June because it is the birthday month of my mother, my mother-in-law, my son Luke, mine, and Vera Aqua Vera Vita. Wow, that is a lot to celebrate. Vera Aqua Vera Vita just turned 4-years old, combine that with the fact that less than 1-month ago we wrapped up Vera Aqua Vera Vita’s 3rd Annual "Evening at a Speakeasy" Fundraiser (The one that went VIRTUAL) which all things considered was a Virtual Success! Haha. We have lots to celebrate! We raised a net total of $16,000 which is enough to provide clean water to 300+ people for generations to come! Thank you to everyone who made this year’s Fundraiser event possible. We look forward to seeing y’all back in-person again next year!

With summer about to be heating up, I am excited to share with you a few things that we are heating up. First, coming up just about six days from now, we will be celebrating VAVV’s 4th Birthday Party with an in-person Happy Hour; yes, you heard that right, we will be hosting our first in-person event since early 2020, as we celebrate all that we have collectively accomplished in four years.
